HeRMES
Our Partners

We are proud to partner with the following organizations. They share with us the same core philosophy of helping those in need and treating patients as well as each other with respect, kindness and understanding.

The Vermilion Area Community Health Center

Our first and only partner for the first year of HeRMES' existence. Located in Danville, Illinois (35 miles east of Champaign-Urbana), the VACHC serves the underserved of Vermilion County. Learn more at their web site.

While our collaboration worked well for everyone involved, their conversion from a free clinic to a Federally Qualified Health Center meant the loss of state exemption from malpractice liability, so after a fruitful and productive year, HeRMES and the VACHC had to part ways. We wish them well in their new facilities!

The Champaign County Christian Health Center

Our partner as of October 2004. In November 2002, several area churches established the Champaign County Christian Health Center (CCCHC) to develop a means of alleviating the health care crisis in our community. With support from the Champaign County Health Department, Frances Nelson Health Center, Carle Hospital and Provena Covenant Hospital, the CCCHC offers free health care services to the uninsured of Champaign County. They seek to make physical and spiritual health and wholeness available to all through primary health care services, medical screenings, educational events, and the offer of prayerful support. Learn more at their web site.

HeRMES is proud to partner with them to provide medical services to the uninsured of Champaign County. They have an ambitious plan to reach out to those in need from a variety of locations as they grow. We're thrilled to be involved at such an early stage and look forward to working towards our common goals.
